My name is Tayla;

the face, the director, the editor & the dreamer behind JADÈ Films.

I adore living in the beautiful tropical paradise that is Cairns and count my lucky stars every day that I get to do what I do as a career. Capturing something as real and authentic as weddings on film brings my heart so much joy & I absolutely put my “all” into my business and into the films I create for my amazing couples. Even after doing this for 8 years it still blows my mind every time I hand over a film that I am lucky enough to be trusted to create something so special.

I have always been a creative in some way or another and after studying photography and design at university, I dipped my feet into the world of wedding video in 2013 and haven’t looked back since.  

I am a former South Aussie, but now addicted to Cairns’ tropical weather.  I love the outdoors, exercise, travelling and going on local (& afar) adventures with my fiance’ (yesss, I get to be a bride-to-be at the moment too!)  I am a doggo-mum to a crazy but cute border collie and I can NEVER say no to wine and cheese.  

I see myself as both an introvert & an extravert, extremely empathetic (which I see as a strength for filming & editing weddings) & much prefer deep conversations over small-talk.. I’m so awkward at small-talk - haha!

My incredible fiance’, Will, and I are currently planning our own wedding (Helloo, destination wedding in Tasmania!) and I’ve found it super exciting to be on ‘the other side’ and experience what my couples have gone through for myself.
